Sorry for the delay, I finally got around to trying this.

I have downloaded the kernel from
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/i386/kernel-image-3.5.0-9-generic-
di/3.5.0-9.9 and attempted to install the file "kernel-image-3.5.0-9
-generic-di_3.5.0-9.9_i386.udeb" (double-click brings up Ubuntu Software
Center and I click "install"). However, after the process completes, the
button still reads "install". After a reboot, "uname -a" confirms I'm
still on 3.7, not 3.5. Any suggestions?
