Hello Kangarooo, or anyone else affected, Accepted xfce4-settings into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/4.8.3-1ubuntu3.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
