Public bug reported:

I'm on kubuntu 7.04, and zeroconf browsing has disappeared!

- I can ping and ssh username-desktop.local without a problem (albeit very
slowly).
- When starting kpf, it no longer reports that it successfully published itself
via zeroconf.
- The zeroconf:/ kio slave reports nothing, and mdns-scan sits at "browsing..."
indefinitely.
- a "ps -ef | grep avahi" shows:
    avahi 4827 1 0 21:50 ? 00:00:00 avahi-daemon: registering
[username-desktop.local]
    avahi 4828 4827 0 21:50 ? 00:00:00 avahi-daemon: chroot helper

Was there a recent update that could have caused this?

** Affects: avahi (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
