Confirmed with precise. This bug is the reason for everyday cronjob
messages containing this:

/etc/cron.daily/lighttpd:
su: User not known to the underlying authentication module
su: User not known to the underlying authentication module
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/lighttpd exited with return code 1

"2>/dev/null" and "exit 0" is a workaround in this case, but...
