Update: This only seems to affect my primary laptop (Samsung NP530U3C). I tried running a 12.10 live session on my desktop computer and the modem worked fine. I also tried running a 12.04 live session on my laptop and the modem worked well. I also noticed that I'm not able to create an USB startup disk with my laptop, because the creator software crashes.
It seems that this bug doesn't have anything to do with the modem. Might be a problem with USB drivers or something like that. I'll have to stress again that there is nothing wrong with laptop, because neither of these problems occurs if I use Xubuntu Precise. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1079174 Title: Huawei E353 stopped working after upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usb-modeswitch/+bug/1079174/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
