I continue to see this problem under 12.04, however the workaround has
become a learned behavior. It's only because I sometimes fail to
remember to press the check button that I continue to see the bug. It's
been three years since 9.04. Another year or so and  I'll be so well
trained that I won't even notice that the bug ever gets fixed. (Sorry if
that comes off as snide, but I'm trying to find the humor in the
situation.)
