Michael, Yes.
I was running 10.something, then 11.04. I usually wait a year before upgrading anything. Microsoft trained me to be cautious, as they seem to let the users do their major debugging. I want to be paid for that! But, Apple and Linux also have problems with upgrades and bugs. In the case of Ubuntu, they tend to take liberties with the UI also. So, I wait a while, read people's complaints or praises and then decide to upgrade. In this case, the problems were there, but not great enough for me to see them 'til I did the minor upgrade to 11.10. I regretted the upgrade due to problems from minute 1. I've seen complaints about 12.04 all over. So, since I had mastered all but one of the bugs I found in 11.10, why start over? And, as you've seen, there was still one pesky bug in 11.10 that I never did master. I can't be too critical, as I know Ubuntu is largely supported by volunteers. But, my feet can vote for me. I'm writing this on my new Mac!
