Maybe that's a leftover of a previous linux?

I just bought this brandnew Acer notebook, took it out of the box, and
directly installed ubuntu. However, I have bought the version „without
operating system” to not waste around 60 Euro for a Windows 7 I do not
use. But even an Acer Notebook „without operating system” comes with
some rudimentary simple Linux, which I did not care at all about. I
removed all existing partitions when installing Ubuntu.

But I am not sure where this grub splash screen is stored. Is it by any
means possible that this was a leftover from this factory-installed
Linux, which might be some derivative of debian and thus come with a
debian splash screen?
