@BB: that's PulseAudio *through* ALSA, as opposed to native PulseAudio.
You did select ALSA. That's the whole point.

@bdrung: Recommends can be disabled. Putting the ALSA input & output in
the default package, and the PulseAudio input & output in a separate
package is not much short of idiotic for a PulseAudio-based
distribution. That is the main reason why this bug hit in the first
place.
