Thanks for the quick reponses and helpful suggestions, this certainly reflects the great positive OpenSource / Linux / Ubuntu user attitude. My purpose in reporting this particular package problem was to help make the Studio release as bug free as possible. In the past certain dependency related install bugs could cause severe hangups in the dpkg / apt database. I do not know if that bug has been fixed, but then again "thanfully" was not an issue here. I do have another bug that will be reported arising from this Feisty to Studio upgrade but not until I have completed a processor upgrade. As far as this bug it can be closed by the appropriete package maintainers. Thanks Tom
