Ugh, sorry about the noise, but I had better clarify: I said in my initial bug report that this bug does not effect events created outside of Lightning: just to be clear, it appears that was wrong about this, and my second comment includes the counterexample I found. I suspect that I got fooled earlier because I wasn't paying attention to my use of the "synchronize" button.
