Public bug reported:

I'm running XUbuntu 12.10 AMD64 and I just enabled auto-hide on the top
xfce4 panel after about 20 minutes into my xfce4 session the top panel
stops auto-hiding and I think as a result the maximize, minimize, and
close buttons are no longer viewable. I think this is because the panel
is not auto-hiding. If I restart the session it returns to normal, but
then reoccurs after about 30 minutes or so.
