I was able to (make shift) fix this problem by commenting out the following line in /etc/rsyslog.conf
$ActionFileDefaultTemplate RSYSLOG_TraditionalFileFormat I supose if I read the rsyslog documentation I could figure out what was going wrong, but I have to many other issues to work out right now. If anyone else can get the traditional timestamp to work please let me know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075353 Title: timestamp does not show up unless highlighted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-log/+bug/1075353/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
