Given that the fix is really small and well confined, and that netenv as
shipped in feisty is really partially broken because of this (it is
unable to restart the network when needed), it would be very nice if
fixed packages could be made available for feisty.

I know that it is not the fault of the package mantainer, but I would like to
make ubuntu developers aware that the ubuntu policy of releasing only security
fixes and not important bugfixes (even for packages that are completely
unusable in the current distribution) is not very nice to users:
for instance:
- emacs-snapshot is completely broken in feisty (crashes at startup - fix is
known, committed to gustsy, but not available for feisty - so no emacs snapshot
for feisty, ever)
- kate 3.5.7 has completely broken session management in feisty (crashes at
saving session - fix is know, commited to gutsy, but not available for feisty -
so no kate for kde 3.5.7 for feisty, ever)
- etc...

So, please, please, please, at least for netenv, please deliver the fix to
feisty users too...
Not for me (I have fixed my script), but for all the rest of the ubuntu users
that really expect bugfix packages for major bugs to be distributed along with
security fixes.
