Public bug reported:

After update to Ubuntu 12.10, ccsm fails to starts with a segmentation fault
Output:
$ ccsm
compizconfig - Info: Backend     : gsettings
compizconfig - Info: Integration : true
compizconfig - Info: Profile     : unity
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I also downloaded and installed ubuntu-tweak, and it fails with similar error!
$ ubuntu-tweak 
compizconfig - Info: Backend     : gsettings
compizconfig - Info: Integration : true
compizconfig - Info: Profile     : unity
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Core dump of both crashes, attached
