Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 12.10 x64 running on an NVIDIA 7800GTX
nvidia-experimental-310:
Candidate: 310.14-0ubuntu1
Version table:
310.14-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal-updates/restricted
amd64 Packages
What I expected: A working desktop.
What happened: Unity did not load (no launcher, no dash), though the
desktop icons were all visible and mouse was working fine. Using right-
click -> change Desktop Background I was able to access the settings and
under "Displays" it had 1 "Laptop" screen whereas I have 2x Dell
monitors (display was mirrored).
Reverted to 304.64 through X-SWAT and everything went back to normal.
** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-experimental-310 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
