A small clarification to my previous comment. The instability and crashes upon resume would occur when adding the kernel boot parameter
libata.force=nohrst which was a fix suggested in a different forum (http://forum.crucial.com/t5/Solid-State-Drives- SSD/SOLVED-M4-CT512M4SSD1-7mm-512Gb-SSD-too-slow-when-laptop- wakes/td-p/102666). Now after the firmware upgrade, the above boot parameter is not needed, and I get very quick resume from suspend with the SATA in AHCI mode. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991040 Title: COMRESET failed (errno=-16) on Intel SSD To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/991040/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
