Public bug reported:
I updated my ubuntu 12.10, twice the updating has lost my fedora
partition, even though the fedora partion shows up in my files in the
unity taskbar. The fedora is the beefy miracle edition. The partition
also shows up in gparted application. The offending update was around
the 28th or 29th of November, 2012. I have it show details as it
updates, it shows sudo-update grub, it is then that the fedora partition
is lost. I tried sudo update grub afterwards but I have to remount the
fedora partition later. I tried the lvm from terminal also. I have grub2
installed. I can't synaptic mount the partition. I tried the boot repair
usb also, that fails.
** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
