I followed through as described above but had problems firstly with the installation of 3.3.7 -030307 generic-pae that came up with errors as described in 'KernelMainLineBuilds'. Ignoring those I tested the brightness controls and they were both working from the keyboard and the System Settings - Brightness and Lock. However I was then in trouble for a period as I was uanble to get the wireless internet connection working. I overcame this by switching to a wired connection. Should I raise a new bug report on this problem?
