Still no DNS resolution when connected to the VPN. I'm fairly certain that 10.0.0.1 really is the intended/correct address of the VPN nameserver, but I will double-check with the owner. I do know, however, that the VPN network setup has not changed, and continues to work from OSX and Windows. So I have no reason to believe the device is faulty.
