Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

Feisty 32-bit 2.6.20-16-generic on Sony Vaio VGN-FE41Z with Intel Core 2
Duo T7200.

Using CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor 2.18.0.

With 2 instances of the panel applet active (one for each core), after a
suspend/resume cycle the applet monitoring the 2nd core reports the CPU
is running full-speed. Attempts to change the CPU it is monitoring to
the 1st core and back again fail to change what it is reporting (shows
the 1st core running at full-speed even though the other applet
monitoring the 1st core shows it is running at 1/2 speed).

If the governor options are enabled making changes to the core speed
settings via a left-click on the applet doesn't cause any change in what
the applet is reporting (it continues to show the CPU running at full
speed).

Removing the applet from the panel and then attaching a replacement
fixes the issue.

** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
