I know point releases are not planned for non-LTS releases. But
shouldn't there be an exception if there are serious problems with
ubiquity. I'd argue that a majority of users will install binary drivers
which leads to unexperienced users being left with unusable systems. The
interwebs is full with reports of people talking about re-installing
Ubuntu over and over and always failing when they try to install the
nvidia drivers.
