I am using an Acer Aspire 5315-2153. I recently fully installed Ubuntu
12.10 by USB. On the first use after the installs restart, I
encountered an immediate crash which I assumed was due to overheating.
Once I repositioned my laptop, it continued to function properly for a
short time. I was adding music to the Rythmbox library (about 20gigs)
and surfing the internet when the computer went to a black screen with a
list of operations. I was tired so I went to bed, but since that crash
I have been unable to get the system to boot. I have tried boot repair
with no success. Currently, the laptop is only functional when running
ubuntu from USB. I have tried to re-install ubuntu from the original
memory stick, but it seems to stall after selecting a language.
