Just wanna say that I haven't experienced this issue in the past 2-3 weeks (possibly longer). I use the samsung machine daily and am always closing the lid and putting it to sleep, and I haven't any issues waking it up from sleep for a long time now. I update Ubuntu regularly, perhaps an update has fixed this.
