Public bug reported: I have two computers, one with two sets of memory sticks. On both computers the memtest86+ version 4.20 when run from the ubuntu 12.10 install CD fails all memory above 129MB on test 7. Reported read back data make it appear that test 7 did not overwrite data from previous test. I downloaded memtest86+ version 4.2 as an ISO from memtest.org This version runs through all tests without errors. I also downloaded memtest86+ 5.00b1. This version also passes all memory on both computers.
This bug cost me $50 when I bought new memory thinking the memory on one of my systems was bad.
