I've been having some lockups at startup, last line saying 'RIP'. I
can't figure out what the initial conditions are to make this happens,
except that the computer is off, and then on. If I switch off and then
on again, it does seem to start up. But then it doesn't happen every
other time, just now and then.....

I attatched a screenshot (photo) of the screen after it locks up. Pretty
blurry shot, but should suffice
