Tribler is a mix between peer2peer sharing and social networking. It's
site is here: https://www.tribler.org/ It is mainly Python but mixes a
lot of things together, the readme files stating that most is under the
MIT license, but it does connect to YouTube as one of its services, so
I'm not sure what legalities would be involved with distributing it. All
in all though, it is a very promising project for using "Web 2.0" on the
desktop rather than the web.
