Please attach the files /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Can you please try with this option in the Device section of your xorg.conf:
Option "BusType" "PCI"
Another option to try is: Option "BCIforXv" "false"
BTW, does it crash if you use Visualizations in Rhythmbox?
