This happened when I downgraded to Feisty. Also, the USB messages just changed
(now displaying "hub 2-0:1.0: hub_port_status failed (err = -19)
"). This, combined with the lack of confirmation from others, makes me suspect
that my computer's USB subsystem is having issues. Marking as invalid, at least
for right now.
