What Desktop Environment are you using? GNOME or KDE? This only happens to me when using amarok on GNOME, and is related to the fact that GNOME by default uses esd for sound while KDE uses artsd.
There seems to be some kind of conflict between the two daemons fighting for exclusive access to the sound hardware. -- knotify crashes when closing amarok main window first time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124998 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
