What Desktop Environment are you using? GNOME or KDE?

This only happens to me when using amarok on GNOME, and is related to
the fact that GNOME by default uses esd for sound while KDE uses artsd.

There seems to be some kind of conflict between the two daemons fighting
for exclusive access to the sound hardware.
