First, I am running Ubuntu Server, so no GUI. I updated to new kernel.
Samba4 was installed. Received the "setoption.pl is not executable" error. Removed samba4. Installed samba (apt-get install samba) When I issue "samba" in terminal, it returns: Samba is not installed, run "apt-get install samba4". When I run "apt-get install samba" it says samba IS installed. The two processes tied to samba are running on my system. Shared folders do not appear on my LAN. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/988509 Title: setoption.pl is not executable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba4/+bug/988509/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
