I'm not sure I understand your comment, Raymond. In my case there is
*no* front Mic because I've moved it to the rear. Yet during a Skype
call the system would switch from the rear Mic to the non-existent front
Mic, so the other party heard nothing from me.

After I applied Cezary's workaround above, the system continues to use
the rear Mic, which is what I want.

Are you saying it's not a bug? (In which case is there a better solution
than the workaround above?) Or are you clarifying what the reason for
the bug is?
