I am still trying to pin down exactly what information is likely to be useful for this bug; one thing that occurred to me is that it may be relevant that my system is set up as a full disk encryption with LVM system. I don't know if either of those systems might be interacting with the SSD or resume in some bad way, but would be happy to check if anyone has an idea as to how to do it. I will also go ahead and run the apport command on my computer when running properly to provide more general information (although not in a broken state).
