Public bug reported:

While attempting to upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04.1 LTS, there was an
error (which I didn't see), but caused the machine to reboot. When I
tried "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade", I get several broken packages. I
even tried using /usr/bin/aptitude-curses to resolve all of the
dependancies, but it kept seg faulting.

Then I decided to just do a fresh install, and it crashed and asked to
submit this bug. I have attached the /var/crash file.
