Hi, I wrote this on it's sister bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cupsys/+bug/56602. I thought it'd be good to cross reference just in-case developers don't look at dups. Thanks.
---------- I'm using an up-to-date Dapper (6.06.1) [2007-07-10] system and this bug is still not fixed. In fact, http://localhost:631 will not accept ANY username or password, even when running Firefox under gksu. Is a backport proposed or is this bug a "too bad" for Dapper users? According to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cupsys/, this was the last Dapper update: 2006-08-03 Published dapper Updates main net 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06 Latest proposed: 2006-10-11 Removed dapper Proposed main net 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06.1 2007-02-15 Published dapper Proposed main net 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06.2~proposed1 The Edgy update you speak of is here: 2006-07-26 Removed edgy Release main net 1.2.2-0ubuntu2 So will, or can Dapper get this bug fixed and at least upgrade to 1.2.2-0ubuntu2? ---------- -- Patched localhost:631 page is bogus + misleading for Kubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/50886 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
