This problem occurs only when Ubuntu is installed in CSM mode (BIOS emulation + MBR partition table) or when live CD systems are booted while in CSM mode. In order to leave this CSM mode and use the "native" UEFI mode, I had to install Windows 7 in UEFI mode. After doing that, suspend to RAM works in Ubuntu live CD systems. It still works after installing Ubuntu and wiping Windows. (I had to use boot-repair from ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair to get Ubuntu to boot.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1090534 Title: Freeze when waking up from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1090534/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
