Well partly ... ;) I had success with the following description:

The crucial part was to get a working phlash16.exe ... I tried three of
them and finally success .. no brick, latest BIOS and drumroll ... the
SD card reader is WORKING! Tada

So at last for me it was a BIOS related bug.
