I'm seeing almost these exact symptoms on a lenovo t420s. I first saw one battery (BAT0) in the panel. I then ran 'upower - monitor' and it indeed showed only BAT0. I then ran 'cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/stat' and I got this:
present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: charged present rate: 0 mW remaining capacity: 40100 mWh present voltage: 12344 mV I tried to run 'cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state' and it showed something present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: discharging present rate: 1177 mA remaining capacity: 2929 mAh present voltage: 11748 mV However, once I had catted this battery, upower started to detect BAT1 (without any change in physical setup): Is there any intention of fixing this in 12.04 since this is a certified piece of hardware? http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201102-7326/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995034 Title: Second battery not found by acpi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+bug/995034/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
