Jeff Crowell, thank you for testing Lucid. One thing that would be nice to know, is can the keyboard backlight be toggled in a different way (potentially indicating wrong keymap for Fn+Z). Hence, could you please undo the keyboard backlight Always On in the BIOS, and check if the keyboard light turns on via the following terminal: xset led 1
If this does not work, please keep incrementing the number by one until you get to 33 (the number may be from 1 to 32).
