Binary package hint: nut

The driver bcmxcp is not wokring on feisty.
nut version is: nut-2.0.5
I'm working with UPS HP R3000 XR, I'm not sure if the problem is limited to 
this UPS model.

Steps to reproduce:
sudo apt-get install nut
configure nut use the bcmxcp driver
start nut
sudo /etc/init.d/nut start
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.5
Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.11 (2.0.5)

Communications with UPS lost: Error executing command
Communications with UPS lost: Error executing command
Communications with UPS lost: Error executing command
Communications with UPS lost: Error executing command
Communications with UPS re-established
Connected to UPS on /dev/ttyS0 baudrate: 19200
Communications with UPS lost: Receive error (Request command): 9!!!

Communications with UPS lost: Receive error (Request command): 9!!!

Communications with UPS lost: Receive error (Request command): 9!!!

Communications with UPS lost: Error executing command
Could not communicate with the ups
Driver failed to start (exit status=1)

This problem has been resolved in the nut mail list.

And they provide a patch to solve it.
I have tried this patch in feisty and it worked just fine.
