After logging onto Ubuntu 12.10, only the default background is shown
and nothing else. This occurs on an HP TC1100 tablet using GeForce4 420
Go 32M
Using Ubuntu 12.04 worked fine before and after logon.

WORKAROUND: Use the following kernel parameter, but the OS responds slower:
