Public bug reported:
The behavior of the system when hibernated seems normal, even through to
power-off. However, upon power-on, the machine goes through a normal
boot instead of resuming from hibernation.
The problem appears (to me, a relative layperson) to be in the 'iw'
package, or its integration with pm-utils/hibernate.
iwconfig on any existing non-wireless network device, or just iwconfig
by itself says, "no wireless extensions" or something like that. iw, on
the other hand, returns non-zero for any existing or nonexisting network
interface that it's run against that doesn't have the nl80211 framework.
Now, it could be that this report is the result of a spurious catch of
normal iw errors during hibernation, by apports normal resume crash
reporting. And my hibernate/resume is broken for some totally
different, other reason.
Non-standard configuration of note: My swap is an LVM partition on a
portion of an md mirror device.
