Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
* New upstream bugfix release
* debian/control:
- Build build-depends on gtk-doc-tools, libgirepository1.0-dev
* debian/rules:
- Build with --enable-introspection
* Add missing debian/gir1.2-gsf-1.install
* debian/libgsf-1-114.symbols:
- Updated
* debian/control:
- Make libgsf-1-dev depend on gir1.2-gsf-1
* New upstream release (LP: #1004723)
* debian/compat:
- Use compatibility level 8
* debian/control:
- Use standards version 3.9.3
- Drop obsolete gnome packages
- Drop -dbg package
- Add GIR packages
* debian/rules:
- Replace ancient rules with modern ones
* debian/watch:
- Download .xz file
* debian/libgsf-1-114.symbols:
- Updated
The remaining diff is that the Debian packaging still uses compat level
7 and the older complicated style debian/rules. Also, the Ubuntu
packaging dropped the -dbg package without explanation.
