Sorry, I submitted that comment early: In my case, the post-install error was "mv: `/lib/init/rw/readahead' and `/run/readahead' are the same file"
I removed /run/readahead, since it was clear the package was trying to move the former to the latter. I completed the install with `dpkg --configure -a` and it exited happily. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990342 Title: package readahead-fedora 2:1.5.6-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/readahead-fedora/+bug/990342/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
