Yes, fedora appears to have its own /boot partition, and it does not
contain the traditional /boot -> . symlink.  When installing fedora you
should not use a /boot partition unless you either want it to share one
with Ubuntu.  As a workaround, you should be able to create a symlink in
the fedora /boot partition pointing to "."
