I'm also having Shutter segfault when I either click the edit image icon, or use ctrl+e to edit an image.
It happens with saved images and also screenshots taken with Shutter itself. Problem first appeared when I was using Debian Testing 64bit, I have since installed Ubuntu 32bit 12.04 and upgraded to 12.10. Problem persists.
