You can't boot windows in bios mode if grub is booted in efi mode (
since there is no bios ), and vice versa.

Just to make sure, you do have grub-efi installed, and not grub-pc
right?  Check with apt-cache policy grub-efi and apt-cache policy grub-
pc.
