Note: A parallel issue affects Firefox with its corresponding dependency in the form of the firefox-globalmenu package. That package similarly creates an Extension in Firefox which is not functional and unusable in any desktop other than Ubuntu's Unity.
The lack of integration of Firefox and Thunderbird in the new Ubuntu Unity appmenu is a specific problem of, and limited to, Unity. It does not affect any other desktop environments, such as XFCE or KDE. It should therefore be resolved in Unity, not in Thunderbird and in Firefox, and certainly not by means of a Thunderbird or Firefox Extension. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1085536 for the parallel bug report concerning Firefox. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1085535 Title: Xubuntu has thunderbird-globalmenu package witch it cant use To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1085535/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
