To anyone affected this bug is becoming too old and lot of work has been done
upstream. We released a new version out some days ago and I packaged it into my
ppa.

?To use it just do sudo apt-add-repository
ppa:costamagnagianfranco/ettercap-stable-backports and you will notice an
upgrade of ettercap package.
Please test it soon
