Public bug reported:

Expected behavoir:
Directories and files are sorted alphabetically.
Typing a 't' will place the highlight at the first occurrence of a directory or
file that starts with a 't'.
Moving the cursor then down typically moves the highlight to the next such
occurrence if that exists.

Observed behavior:
Given the following list of directories (as they appear on my system)
..
System
Texts
_Thesis
Topics
Ugrad
..
Typing a 't' correctly places the highlight on "Texts", but moving the cursor
down incorrectly places the highlight on "Topics" instead of the next entry
"_Thesis".
